I enjoyed my short time with WFX. I made some pretty decent money there. I only left because they could never get me home on time. I live in Phoenix, AZ and they tell you in orientation that we’re called western flyer express for a reason expect to go to Cali often. I went to Cali 1 time in the 4 months I worked there. I only went home 3 times and made it only once on time bringing my truck home. The other 2 times I left the truck in OKC and drove my personal car back and forth just to make it home on time for important things I needed to attend too. Mind you I always set my home time for 2 days before I actually need to go home. Other than that they’re a pretty good company to work for if all you do is live in your truck. I’d say there’s only 2 things I wish they did. A fuel discount with loves who they use for fuel. Second is personal maintenance accounts. Just sucks you’re putting money into a company wide account and never see it. It’s like you’re paying for other people’s bills. If it doesn’t work out at Swift and I’m eligible for rehire I’d go back.

If you want to get home on time this isn’t the company for you. You will not get paid for holidays, vacation. The biggest problem is there’s to many Chiefs and not enough Indians. The shop takes 4-6 hours to do a PM. INWARD FACING CAMERAS WITH AUDIO that’s ALWAYS on. They do allow the camera to be covered while the truck is parked. Lastly new hires will have to pay for orientation. Company trucks 65 on the floor 67 cruise. Lease 67 floor 70 cruise.

I have been here for almost 2 years. These guys have always been upfront and honest to me. I am a contractor and make good money. This company is home to me. I am determined to pay off my truck, and I have witnessed MANY drivers I have met that paid off theirs. So it can be done! Just run hard, watch your fuel, and above all, enjoy yourself! Get to know the people in the office, they can help with any problems that arise!!!! Please don't listen to the negative reviews. Come here and see for yourself! Your experience may be a great one like mine has been! If you see me out on the road, feel free to come up and ask questions!! Stay safe everyone!!!

Many great things and I thought them checking out your equipment was a good thing. But they don’t care if you’re out of time, you still wait hours in this line.

The amount of laziness and lack of communication at this place is absolutely mind-blowing. As a driver I shouldn't have to deal with the headaches of a company, my only concern should be issues out on the road itself. Trailers are constantly in need of serious repair. Trucks aren't taken care of either.

Wish I could give no stars. Absolutely horrible company to work for, I was a L/P driver and they treated me as if I was a company driver. They say they are family owned and family oriented but that is a complete lie. Dispatch has no communication skills whatsoever and they expect you to be in your truck waiting on a Qualcomm message while on Hometime. They don’t know how to email, or call unless you initiate. They need to learn people skills and how to treat drivers. Stay far away from this company and the BS they put you through.

Company is great, when you first start out. After about 3 months of working there, the people just started acting like they didn't care. Never got home on the day I requested. Then had a family emergency and went home. I advised the manager that I was going to be out for a little more than a week and it was approved. Arrived home on a Sunday, Tuesday morning I get a message saying that I needed to return to work by Thursday or they were going to come get the truck. Contractor mind you, I advised that I wasn't able to, and they came and go the truck that Friday. Said I would be re-hirable but come to find out, I wasn't. They took my whole paycheck for the recovery fee of their truck. 1,300.00 is what they took. When I called and asked for a breakdown of the fees, they wouldn't provide me with any. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone unless you're going company. They don't care about the drivers or their families. All they care about is that truck being out on the road with a warm body in the seat.

Well I do reviews for others to know. This isn’t my official 3 month review since I have only been here driving for 2 months for WFX. So far it is not looking good. I haven’t taken any days off which is what I do with every company and I won’t take days off until after 3 to 4 months so that a company has no excuses and I don’t refuse loads and I run constant recaps on logs. This is in fact why my reviews are very important to see. But like I said this WFX isn’t looking good at all already. The office personnel is very slow and refuses phone numbers to departments including payroll so you have to email. 86% of my preplan loads are sent to me with unreal late and impossible pickup times. Preplans that you accept will have a pickup time on them and when you agree to accept the preplan the load assignment messages will have different pickup or delivery times on it. Very bad planners and dispatching. If you try to explain that you can’t possibly make on time pick up or delivery caused by their lack of ability to plan loads then they will tell you it falls on the driver and the office personnel accepts no accountability. The preplan I have just received is to pickup in Fontana, CA. I am unloading in Santa Barbara, CA. Now as a 12:00 appointment but supposed to pick up in Fontana at 10:00 which is impossible the time I will be unloaded here in Santa Barbara is 13:00. This is an almost every load and preplan situation here at WFX. WFX is a very high stress level company to work for caused by office personnel. I have been driving since 2001 so yes I’m very experienced in how everything works. WFX will find any excuse to terminate your employment or your contract with no exact reason given. You will not have a phone number to ask questions. But my time here is still early. I will make an official review after 3 months.
Update 11/15/24 : Okay so now I have been here for 3.5 months and it’s getting worse. As I write to add this new info I am again sitting waiting for a load. I have not took day off since I have started working here on 8/5/24 so I am definitely giving this place plenty of opportunities to let me give them a great review. Sadly I have to now lower the stars from 2 to 1. This truck I am in should be the easiest truck to dispatch since I am OTR and have never needed to be routed home yet. WFX is failing worse than I ever imagined a company could fail. Miles keep getting lower and lower.
